The Onondaga Redhawks earned a 11-5 win over the visiting Golden Eagles to move up to 3rd place in the Can-Am division.

The first period saw fantastic goaltending by Jeff Powless as he shut down all the Newtown scoring opportunities as the Redhawks built a 6-0 first period lead.

The second period saw a Newtown goalie change and a rash of penalties for both teams. With the specialty teams on the floor for most of the second period, Newtown was able to tally 4 goals to Onondaga’s one.

The final stanza saw the visiting Eagles score to bring the score to 5-7. That tally ignited the Redhawks as Pete Benedict, AJ Bucktooth and Ed Shenandoah lead the team with pin-point passing creating easy goals during a five goal run to end the game.
